Two separate readings get folded together in most number apps. The first is 數理, the inherited judgement attached to a number itself. The second is 五行, the element the number carries, and whether that element helps or drains your own chart. A number can score well on the first and still be wrong for you on the second.
Number judgements run in a cycle of eighty-one. Add the digits of a long number, reduce the result to a value between 1 and 81, and read that entry. 1 is 太極之數, the beginning. 8 is 八卦之數. 81 is 萬物回春, the cycle completing and returning to its start, which is why 81 reads like 1 again. Every entry carries a name, a 吉 or 凶 judgement, an element and a description of the pattern it stands for. The table used here lists all eighty-one.
A phone number is long enough that practitioners do not read it as a single value. The engine splits it into segments, scores each one, and then scores the whole.
