A feng shui reading is only as good as its inputs. This form is long because the classical method asks specific questions, and a reading built from an address alone will come back generic.
The first upload is a floor plan that shows compass directions. The 陽宅十書 method begins from the sitting and facing directions of a dwelling and reads the rooms against them. A plan without a marked north cannot be read, and the form says so rather than guessing at it.
The main door is 氣口, the mouth through which qi enters. Its direction, and what sits directly opposite it, settle more of a reading than any other single element. A door facing a lift shaft, a long corridor or a facing neighbour's door is read differently from one looking onto open ground.
The kitchen holds the 火 position and stands for the household's nourishment and its retention of wealth. Where the stove sits relative to the door, and where the water source sits relative to the stove, are the two questions the method asks.
Sleep and the relationship of the couple in the house are read here. Position within the plan, the direction the bed head points, and the relationship between the bedroom and the bathroom beside it are the three checks.
The study carries the household's academic and career readings. The living room is judged by how it gathers people. The bathroom is the 穢 position and is read for containment rather than for absence. Drainage and 去水 decide where the household's qi exits, which the texts treat as the close of a reading rather than an afterthought.
The form branches at the first question. A dwelling is read with the residential sections. An office is read with its own set: building, company door, executive office, staff area, meeting room, finance room and reception. A business asks different questions from a household, so it is read with different sections.
The report is organised by the sections you completed. Each judgement names the rule behind it, and the findings are ranked, so you can see which change matters most and which is only a refinement. Floor plan images are used to produce the reading and are not published anywhere.
